Incorrect registration / enquiry numbers on a course

Friday, Feb 8, 2019 by Scott Spence Course Date, Enquiry, Registration

CourseSales.com keeps track of the total registrations and enquiries on a course. The total is adjusted when a process step is applied to a document, eg if a step ‘Registration’ has the Effect on Registrations value of ‘Registered’ then that increases the number of registrations on the course date by one. If however the Effect on Registrations is ‘Registration Cancelled’ then the registrations on the course date decreases by one. The value of Registered documents is important as it shows on the course list (see below), is used to calculate if the course should display on the website.

Sell additional products at registration

Friday, Dec 7, 2018 by Scott Spence Catalog Item, Catalog Group, Registration

Sell more, help customers, improve service. The beauty of people selling training courses online is that you have the opportunity to offer your customers relevant associated products. If you are selling a dance class why not sell a CD of the music? if you are selling a First Aid course why not a First Aid Kit? These add value for your customers and increase profitability for you with a customer who is already prepared to spend money with you.

To do this efficiently it is necessary to track agent sales either via your website or via the agent’s website. It is possible to provide a service to these agents so they can display courses on their website but the registrations arrive into your student management system.

Import Enrolment and Client Records

Wednesday, May 10, 2017 by Scott Spence Import, Registration, Contact, AVETMISS

In CourseSales.com there is integrated support for importing enrolments (documents, and document topics) and clients (contacts) using spreadsheets. There is also support for importing configuration data (units of competency, etc) using other non-integrated software ie Selenium, a browser automation tool. When adopting a new Student Management System (SMS) the biggest uncertainty is migration of existing data. Each SMS uses complex data models, they determine data relationships by using business rules at the point of data entry.
