Congratulations for just purchasing a license to CourseSales.com!

This information aims to make the move smooth and hassle free.

We offer the following options for new subscribers:

Full configuration Giving you our full support:
  • You approve our plans for the configuration
  • You provide us with information, access to your systems, exported data and necessary authority
  • You provide data in a format that can be imported, eg spreadsheets, not PDF schedules
  • You clean any data to be imported
  • You test and confirm configurations are suitable; verify, validate, and approve
In addition to below in ‘Managed configuration’ and ‘Self configuration’:
  • We create necessary scripts for migration
  • We test the data for cleanliness and suitability for import
  • We provide up to 7 additional instructional videos
Managed configuration In addition to the above in “Full configuration”
  • Once we have imported the data you have provided/provided by Training.gov.au you create additional items, eg any missing Units of Competency
  • You take an existing configuration/design and request modifications
  • At appropriate points you ensure staff are available to be trained in configuration/management activities
In addition to below in ‘Self configuration’:
  • We plan the configuration
  • We tell you want can’t be imported or configured
  • We use our existing scripts to import data
  • Where there are existing tutorials or support documentation we provide instructions for you to complete the work
  • We create up to 3 instructional videos for staff and/or customers
  • We configure plugins eg Moodle
Self configuration You take full control:
  • You create the plan for the configuration
  • You use our help files and documentation for configuration
  • You engage us on a as needed basis
  • You install third party plugins eg for Moodle
  • You modify adapt the configuration scripts as necessary
  • You set up and maintain your own Selenium or other (eg API) automation/import activity
Here when you need us:
  • We respond to requests for assistance
  • We receive your instructions for any configuration that you can’t do eg batch processing of USI
  • We create documentation as necessary
  • We provide quotes for any additional features you may require or enhancements to existing features.

We have some advice on how to ensure the migration is smooth and understandable, eg. we have scripts that can copy across Axcelerate information

We recommend these principles when configuring CourseSales.com for the first time:

  • Start simple, use the minimum number of process steps, process paths etc

  • When thinking about automation carry out some steps manually for now, automate once existing steps are in place

  • Be sure to do the online Introduction to CourseSales.com course to familiarise yourself with terminology and base usage of the software

  • We recommend creating a design, workflow of how your registration process works, and the other aspects of management, eg issuing of certificates.

  • Get us to give advice, about how to set up, what to avoid, and if your plan looks manageable or can be improved.

Here are our steps, if purchasing a Managed Configuration or Full Configuration once you have committed to a license:

  • Kick-off meeting where we talk about what systems you have, perhaps providing a high level design/diagram of how all the systems interact. Meet those who will be a) administering the system b) are the points of contact for the website, elearning platform and testing the system. If there is a separate approver then it is helpful to have them available.

  • Design approval where the steps of the configuration are outlined, including data migration and effort required from you are outlined.

  • Base setup confirmation: Forms, Formats, Payment Methods. Approval/contributions required.

  • Tutorials where necessary to assist with the migration/data entry.

  • Workflow design approval: flow diagram of email triggers, PDF sending, issuance of elearning access, automation and payment approvals (manual as necessary).

  • Workflow set up, step by step demonstration of the customer experience, approval sought.

  • Tutorials with admin staff to how the workflow operates

  • Gentle release: Proof of concept with an existing course with actual customers

  • Full release: all courses are swapped over to the new way of working

  • Creation of videos: using the steps that we have designed videos are created to train new staff and act as reminders to existing staff.
